Claude's Story

Retired, single and happy. Moved from Tennessee to Kansas in late 2011 to care for my mother. She passed away in 2013, and here I stay. I purchased me a motor home and love to travel. Active in volunteering my time entertaining in nursing homes, with even a paid gig or two in between. Member of Dragon Society International where we meet for a convention in Myrtle Beach twice a year. Performed at the beach party for them during each of our most recent conventions, May and October, 2015. I live in a quiet conservative small town near Topeka, Kansas, and just love to go walking at the park, entertain guests, go to church, work out, take care of my yard, wash my new car, etc. On some of my recent trips in my motor home, I have been asked to sing for many churches and entertain at RV Parks' Community Centers. Locally, I have been asked to entertain at special events, such as Rodeo Days, our recent citywide Christmas show, and benefits for local charities, or even an Elvis Show for an old lady's birthday party. Lots of joy there, seeing a 95 year old lady's eyes brighten up, and hearing her telling everyone about meeting Elvis one day when she was young. That to me is "happiness". No one special in my life now. Guess I love my independence too much. Yes, lonely sometimes. But, I have lots of friends and when I get the notion, I just up and travel anywhere I want to or go sing at a nursing home. As far as a job is concerned, I am an Independent Distributor for AdvoCare, where we build champions. I would...Expand for more
love to talk to anyone about it. But, this forum is not the proper place. Currently, I am working on a project with a local studio, producing a new Gospel album. Sixteen songs have been recorded, and it seems the last one is yet to be done. The studio and producer have been busy with other things, and so, it seems that it'll be early next year before I'm able to finish the project, Lord willing. I was hoping to be done by Christmas, so I could send CD's to relatives and loved ones. But, it didn't happen that way. FYI: Back in 2003, while in Tennessee, I recorded an album that wasn't so hot, but did accomplish nonetheless. The producer wasn't as creative or professional as I would have liked. One of the songs on that album was an original I wrote. The album was titled, "Blues, Ballads and Love Songs". In our last reunion in 2006, the DJ played one of those songs from that album. Only three other people knew about it. The song played was "Words", originated by the Bee Gees, and remade by myself. I paid the DJ a tip to play it. The dance floor was full. Thank you very much. As for my life prior to 2011? Well, same old thing. College, Army, Vietnam, more college, technical schools, same job for 20 years, downsized, another job for several years, then I buy and entertainment company, performed mostly in NE Tennessee, another job, downsized again, sold my company, retired early, on and on. So, here I am, in my newly remodeled home and just loving life again. Blessings to all. Buck (Wright) Reidenbach
